Medicare: Renal Disease Program

Under the End Stage Renal Disease Program, Medicare assists individuals under age 65 with the costs of services and supplies furnished in connection with the treatment of chronic end stage kidney disease. Coverage generally includes:

• Inpatient costs associated with dialysis and kidney transplants
• Physician services
• Outpatient services
• Out-of-hospital medical services and supplies
