Chemical Dependency
The incidence of substance abuse among persons with disabilities can be assumed to mirror that of the general population. Research indicates that the incidence of substance abuse in the general population could be as high as 35-40%. One in ten individuals in the U.S. who drinks is prone to alcoholism.
